This is a direct replacement that requires removal of the factory grille, but reuses the factorys mounting locations. The factory emblem is taken off the stock grille and reused. This device combines our key and our keyless entry remote into one singular unit. Simplify your life and earn some style points at the same time!
This unique product is a RETRACTING key + remote combo unit. It performs two functions: It works as a key AND a keyless entry remote.
The attractive outer case conceals the keyblade until you release it, using the "thumb slide" on the bottom. Within just a few tries you can quickly master flicking the blade, locking it into the useful position. To retract the keyblade, simply press the chrome side-mounted button and the keyblade automatically zips like a stiletto back into its hidden position.
This is an "all in one" "key + remote combo" which performs two functions:
1) Remote Keyless Entry - to remotely lock and unlock your car (also trunk and alarm, if equipped). Inside its attractive case is an original OEM keyless entry remote circuit board (OEM means its built by the same company that built your vehicle).
2) Anti-theft? There is an electronic "transponder chip" embedded in the unit. The transponder chip acts as an electronic "fingerprint" and is part of your vehicles high security anti-theft system already installed on your vehicle. Your car needs to be programmed to recognize the "transponder chip fingerprint" or the car will not operate. The chip is the same OEM transponder chip inside the key you have now. Heres how to get your new RETRACTING key to work on your vehicle. Its a simple, two-step process:
1) Use the "buy it now" option and in about a week it will arrive to your mailbox.
2) "Teach" your vehicle to "talk" to your new key.
Remember, this device performs TWO functions: keyless entry and anti-theft, so each function needs to be "taught" to your vehicle.

Keep in mind your dealer or locksmith can also perform programming. Most dealers will do it free as a courtesy.
